Green Building Certification System Approved By GSA
Friday, May 18th, 2012
Green Globes and the Living Building Challenge join LEED in passing the GSA’s review for use in federal projects, an increase from just LEED in 2007.

Here is the full report
One of the things I find most interesting about this article is this statement:
“… the report notes that “none of the systems discussed in this report ensures that a building will meet Federal sustainable design requirements (once certified), or that the building will perform optimally. Federal sector high-performance, sustainable design and operations requirements can be met without the use of a green building certification system.”
The article goes on to say essentially these systems can be a valuable checklist to basically ensure you are on track to meet federal guidelines and they do not mandate one over the other.
So I guess I am a bit puzzled by what this “approval” really means.
